Grosjean Penalized For Littering

Grosjean has enough troubles at Spa. The newest penalty will not help given his past history at Spa

Francorchamps, Spa, Belgium - Romain Grosjean has been once again penalized heading into Spa after a forgettable weekend at Hungary in which French Formula 1 driver was penalized twice. Grosjean, who drives for Lotus F1, received one penalty for passing Felipe Massa outside the confines of the track, and one penalty for making contact with Jenson Button whilst overtaking him in the last race in Budapest.

"The penalty for the Massa incident was *expletive*," Grosjean said. "I didn't do anything wrong. If I was Sebastian Vettel, I wouldn't have gotten a penalty."

Eric Bouiller, team principle of the Lotus Team, came to the defense of his driver. "I agree and stand behind Romain's comments. Maybe he should get duel citizenship and become a native of Germany."

Grosjean then went on to talk about his incident with Button. "Yeah I deserved that penalty. It wasn't a huge incident but it was an incident nonetheless."

But the penalty that takes the cake is the penalty issued to Grosjean for showing up to Spa. "Romain clearly can't take a hint," said Chief F1 Steward Charlie Whiting. "We will keep penalizing him until he gets the memo."

When asked what he was penalized for, Charlie Whiting said "he littered, a violation of the F1 regulations."

Grosjean would not comment on the newest of penalties.
